Stevenage and Guildford, on 13 January 2009 - Astrium, the European leader in space, has acquired the
Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL). SSTL is the branch of the innovative University of Surrey, which specializes in the design and manufacture of small satellites and subsystems. Approved by the European Commission in December 2008, this acquisition was announced today by Louis Gallois, CEO of EADS, at its January meeting with the press.

World Trade Centers Association
PEPC Worldwide, has signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement with WTCA Services, a subsidiary of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA). Under this agreement the WTCA and PEPC will cooperate in promoting the use of the PEPC Newspaper KiOSK within the 297 World Trade Centers and their connected offices and organizations throughout the world.

PEPC, acronym for Publishers Electronic Printing Concept, was founded in December 1999 by a group of five young successful Dutch businessmen. They devised a plan to sell newspapers from a self-contained printing kiosk. This machine would download and print the latest editions of newspapers from around the world.
After intensive research from international marketing specialists and technical assistance from IBM, PEPC, financed by private investors, developed several prototype machines. Publishers sent test files to a control center in Amsterdam. Once received, PEPC transmitted these files to the prototype machines via satellite. The experiment worked!

Rob Dorpmans ( May 1st 1957 ) joined PEPC in October 2002. After graduating in Business Administration in 1980 (Nijenrode, Business School, The Netherlands) Mr. Dorpmans held various sales positions at Burroughs Computers/Unisys Computers. In 1987 Mr. Dorpmans became Marketing & Sales Director of the Media Information Group offering products and services to the publishing and printing industry. Subsequently, Mr. Dorpmans became responsible for the financial market at Stratus Computers.
